1.  Before you terminate your website from your old host, you must copy all the files from the old FTP and upload it to the new FTP account of you new host, means transforming your entire site.

2. After doing the above process, you now need to change the DNS of your website. The new host will provide you new nameservers which may look like 'ns1.yourhostname.com' & 'ns2.yourhostname.com'. To do this you can contact your new host.

3.  After getting the new nameservers replace it in the domain manager, where you have bought the domain name from.

4. The duration of propagation of the new nameservers will take 48hours. So after the DNS is changed the domain name will recognize the new webhost so that, now you can contact your old webhost company to terminate your account.

5.  Prior proposing the process of transforming your website to your old host can end in termination so following the above mentioned process respectively would never make you face the downtime.
