How to Add a Favicon in WordPress

A fav icon (also known as a Site Icon) is the small image displayed next to your website title in browser tabs, bookmarks, and browser history. Adding a fav icon helps reinforce your brand identity and makes your website easier to discern.
Before You Begin

Please log in to your WordPress Admin Dashboard.

Prepare a square image that is at least 512 × 512 pixels in size. PNG format is advised for the best quality.
Method 1: Add a Favicon Using WordPress Settings

Please log in to your WordPress Dashboard.

From the left-hand menu, go to Settings.

Click General.

Locate the Site Icon section.

Click Choose Site Icon.
